As we've mentioned, our roots go back to the Washington, DC area where in 1996 we began as VW Sport USA. By 1999 we changed our name to 1552 Design and remained in the DC area until 2000 when we moved to Sarasota, FL.
Over the years we've received more than our fair share of media coverage, including coverage from major magazines from around the world. As we were getting started the Internet was really beginning to expand the horizons of car enthusiasts around the world and we have always been very active in working with some of the more cutting-edge European car based sites. Building cutting-edge project vehicles as well as working with our customers to produce vehicles they could be rightly proud of were some of our main goals, and the media coverage we received as a result suggests for the most part we achieved our goals on a regular basis.
Considering the fact that we've recently had a couple of photoshoots for two different magazines, expect to see more media coverage from "version 2."
As you can see, in the past we've had a strong concentration on VW vehicles and products, and while that's not going to change, "v.2" will cater just as diligently to the Audi side of things as well as other European vehicles.
